The Pats are going to the Super Bowl!
Who saw the Patriots-Steelers game2 yesterday? It wasn't pretty, but I'm happy with the outcome. The last time the Pats made it to the Super Bowl was in 1997, when they suffered a rather embarrassing loss to the Packers. I have no illusion that the NFC doesn't put up much better teams and that the AFC isn't going to have a struggle no matter who they send to the "Big Dance", but I hope that New England can at least keep it interesting by playing a close game next week. For my own part, I was already planning to be in Boston next weekend ... now I'm definitely sticking around for the game! After all, if the Pats3 pull out another miracle this season, I want to be on home turf for the celebration.

I just put up a few new and/or revised pages. Check out my photos from last week's trip to Mont Tremblant, for example. Next up, I'm planning to add a new splash page and the long-awaited photos from my trip to Brazil. I can't believe it's been almost a year since I went! (Scott's been antagonizing me about taking so long, since he hasn't seen the photos yet and he was there.) I'll also be putting up a portfolio of links to websites that I've helped design along with a few new pages ... it all depends on how busy work is this week.

Well, here's the new design I've been working on ... I hope you like it! I still need to tweak a few things (Netscape doesn't like some of my work), but otherwise it's pretty much finished. If you see anything that looks off, though, please let me know so I can check it out. Thanks!

Now that I'm using a new host for my site, I get to see some interesting stats ... like what people are searching for when they find this site! Apparently, these are the top search terms for the first few days:
- college partying pics
- goatee growing
- hong kong faneuil hall boston
- hot tub party pics
- goatee or beard dye or dyed or shave or shaved
- pub crawl themes
- rum jungle mandalay bay vip
- under counter keg

If my site seems to be acting a little strange over the next day or so I apologize; I'm in the process of switching my service provider. One of my coworkers runs his own hosting company on the side and his service is much better than my current provider's. If you're looking to set up your own site, I recommend Arena One4. Not only should my site be more reliable now, but it will be faster and I'll be able to add some cool new features ... some of them especially for friends.

The beginning of the year always seems like such a busy time ... businesses trying to catch up on end-of-year chores, people trying to reinvent themselves with resolutions and lots of general craziness. What I'm trying to say is, I've been busy so I haven't been updating this site as frequently as I'd like. Sorry.
I'm getting a little annoyed with its design, too. I don't know ... its just so basic. I've been kicking around a few ideas and surfing the web for some inspiration, so hopefully I'll have something new up soon. That will definitely make me happy! If you have any ideas, feel free to send me suggestions.

I feel like I'm at a lack for words today. Or maybe it's that I don't have the right substantive words to express what I'm thinking. I've had a great time in MA over the last few weeks, but now I have to return to CT. On top of that, I leave behind a bunch of friends that I've spent two fun-filled weeks with ... and who I might not see again for a month or more. The worst part is, I said good-bye to someone who means a lot to me this morning and I'm not sure if it's a "talk to you soon" good-bye or a "good-bye" good-bye. I really hope it's the former, but I've never been in this situation before. At least not when it's of my own making. Maybe things could have been handled differently, but there was a convergence of pressures (my return to CT, concerned friends, etc.) that influenced the timing of it all. At the moment, though, I'm not sure how to react. With any luck, time will reveal that things, once again, work out in the end.
