Done and done.
Late last week I introduced commenting to my site. My first go at this feature enabled visitors to post their own comments about any of the blurbs here in my Log, but only about those blurbs. Now I've expanded that functionality to the rest of my site, so you can make as many smart-ass quips about that particular photo or page you've stumbled on as you'd like ... just click the "Comment" link in the upper right. I'll be adding a bunch of new galleries in the next few days, including photos that I took at my cousin's wedding last weekend, so I'm anticipating lots of visitors (especially relatives) and perhaps lots of comments.
Curious about what they might say? Yes. Concerned about what they might say? Definitely.

The Return of the King
Finally! The trailer2 for the last installment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy is at Apple's QuickTime Movie Trailers3site. If I see one movie in the next six months, this will be it. As perhaps the most anticipated movie of the year (even more so than The Matrix: Revolutions4), this final film should keep the trilogy on track to become the greatest movie series of all time, in my opinion.

Gizmodo Rocks
Being the gadget junky that I am, my new favorite site is Gizmodo5. Covering everything from cell phones to digital cameras, portable audio to home entertainment, it seems like they've always got the dirt on the latest and greatest technologies. Case in point: their recent blog about Ultra HDTV6. As they put it, you can throw out that plasma television you just bought ... NHK recently unveiled a new set with sixteen times the resolution of anything currently available. The image was so realistic that it gave several members of an early audience motion sickness when they were shown footage from driving around in a car. How soon can I get one?!

Comment away!
<sarcasm>
I'm usually not that interested in what anyone else has to say, so it's against my better judgment that I introduce the newest feature on my site: comments.</sarcasm>
But seriously, this is something that I've wanted to add for a long time (and that quite a few of you have pestered me about). For now you can only comment on the entries that appear here in my Log, but I'm bringing this feature to the rest of my site. Stay tuned!

Indian Summer
I can't believe what a gorgeous weekend this was! It was almost 90 degrees on Saturday and about 80 degrees today. Perfect weather for the Taste of Boston7 (one of my favorite annual events). I would have gone regardless of the temperature, but I'm not sure if I could have convinced anyone else to join me. I went with Cindy, Rachel, and Meredith, though, and sampled lots of great food. For just $12 I had pizza, a curried chicken wrap, fresh fudge, ribs, a cannoli, Nectar Fizz, Italian ice, chocolate crepes, and more. I was pretty stuffed by the end of the day, so I had to take a nap (food coma) before heading to work at the pub. If you live in Boston and didn't stop by the Taste, then you really missed out.

Screw September, I can't wait for October.
Three of my favorite events are coming up: The Taste of Boston, Oktoberfest, and Halloween. If you like to eat, don't miss The Taste of Boston8, which is bigger and better this year. As usual, Boston's best restaurants will be offering samples of their finest fares while Star 93.7fm9 packs the stage with tons of live music. Two weeks later, the Harpoon Brewery will be celebrating in style at their annual Octoberfest10 event (mark this one on your calendar, kids). I'm a little upset about missing out on the opportunity to get dressed up for Halloween, since I'll be working at McSwiggin's for my favorite holiday. Salem gets so busy at this time of year that the pub needs every employee to pick up extra shifts, though. Hopefully I'll have plenty of chances to make up for it at a few parties!
