From the Mouths of Italians
Gina's birthday was Tuesday, March 15, so I enrolled us in a BCAE2 course that she was interested in, called An Italian Dinner. It was a Friday night cooking lesson where we learned how to make bruschetta, chicken marsala, and a peach dessert, among other things. While we were there, she was telling me about her Saint Patrick's Day adventures, and how she had been singing along with the band at the Green Dragon3. Our conversation went something like this:
Gina: You'd have been so proud of me last night. I was singing along with all the Irish bands.
Will: Which songs did you sing?
G: Um, one went "no no never" or something.
W: Yeah, No Nay Never4 ... that's a great song! The Irish have the best drinking songs.
G: Yeah, you and pirates.
And that, my friends, is why I like this girl so much.
