My closest friends have enriched my life in ways that I couldn't even begin to explain to them, or ever repay them for. Although I mention a few here by name, they already know who they are.
- Terrence
- We met in Little League, lost touch, and became friends again in high school (without remembering that we'd known each other before!).
- Mark (and Karen)
- We've survived every textbook "best friend" experience, from fighting over girls to partying until we drop, from going months without talking to staying friends for decades. And now he's got a great wife!
- Steve, Paul, Clint, and Chris
- I've been lucky to have had some great roommates. Most of the people I lived with during and after college made coming home something to look forward to.
- Jun
- I met Jun as a senior at Georgetown when he transferred there his junior year. After graduating, I was surprised to bump into him again in the spring of 1999 when he interviewed for a job with my employer, which he started that summer.
- Ana
- We met on the first day of my first real job and we've been great friends ever since. Either that or she just keeps me around to regulate her shopping. And now she's married to Clint and expecting their first child!
- Shelley and John
- Ever since Karen introduced us in late 2001, Shelley and I have been good friends. And when I met her husband John, he and I soon became friends, too. It was the greatest two-for-one deal ever.
