Moving On
My first weekend in CT since the winter was also my last, since I quit my job to move back to MA. Luckily, Parag's annual summer BBQ coincided with my departure. He outdid himself with the sheer amount of food and drink made available this year, not to mention that he even ordered the (ultimately disappointing) Tyson-Lewis fight to entertain his guests.
My manager, Ed, also took me out for happy hour with a few coworkers as a proper send-off. It was a nice way to wrap up four years of employment at FactSet2 … especially since he expensed the tab!
My Big Return
My first day as an official resident of MA was capped off with a night in Back Bay for Kelly's birthday. Like death and taxes, these girls are guaranteed (they're just a lot more exciting to deal with).
The following weekend we celebrated Shelley's birthday. She had already been out with John one night, but I talked her into joining me for another night out. Shelley picked Tua Nua so that she could dance, but we had a better time watching all the college kids and sharing a few drinks.
