JackHoya: Wedding Season

Summary: I've known these couples for years, so it was great to see each of them at their weddings. Thanks for inviting me!

Michelle and Pat

I met Michelle and Pat years ago at FactSet2, so it was great to attend their wedding in Poughkeepsie, NY. Although I didn't get to spend much time with the bride and groom (they had plenty of people to meet and greet, after all), I really enjoyed seeing my old coworkers … especially close friends like Clint and Jun, who I don't see often enough.

Tina and Alex

I also met Tina and Alex while living in Connecticut. He eventually came to work at FactSet just before I moved back to Massachusetts, but we've managed to keep in touch. This wedding was another reunion of sorts, so once again I got to see plenty of old coworkers.

And yes, the drive to Ithaca was a little long (just over six hours each way), but it was worth it to see everyone … even for just one night. And I didn't get a speeding ticket like half the other guests!

Meg and Max

In late September, the extended Tellier family converged on MA for my cousin Meg's wedding. She was the first cousin to say "I do" since Nathan and Camie were hitched in Denver three years earlier. Whenever the family celebrates an event like this, you can expect everyone involved to have a great time and this weekend was no exception. I just hope it's not another three years before we get all the aunts, uncles, and cousins together again.
